Description
St. Paul Eye Clinic is seeking a Fellowship-Trained Vitreoretinal Surgeon
St. Paul Eye Clinic (SPEC) serving the Twin Cities of Minnesota is a growing independent private practice that is proud of its nearly 60-year history of providing full-service ophthalmologic care to patients throughout the greater St. Paul area and western Wisconsin. Fiercely independent and committed to remaining an independent, physician-owned practice, our physician owners, associates, optometrists, and 180+ team members are committed to providing high-quality, compassionate, state-of-the-art clinical care to our marketplace. We accomplish this by providing a full range of ophthalmologic services…from an annual eye exam to the latest in cataract, cornea, glaucoma, oculoplastic, pediatric, neuro-ophthalmology, LASIK, retina, and optical care through our five St. Paul-area and two Wisconsin locations.
St. Paul Eye Clinic is actively recruiting a fellowship-trained retina specialist to add both breadth and depth to our growing vitreoretinal service. You will join our two retina specialists and a medical staff comprised of three cornea specialists, two glaucoma specialists, one oculoplastic specialist, one pediatric ophthalmologist, one neuro-ophthalmologist, five comprehensive ophthalmologists and five optometrists, who provide a strong internal referral base. You will care for patients with macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular disease, and surgical retina conditions, including intravitreal injections, laser, and vitreoretinal surgery, supported by OCT, OCT angiography, widefield imaging, and fluorescein angiography. SPEC’s growth is a direct result of our commitment to the communities we serve. To meet this demand, we are adding providers, recently opened a new clinic, and continue to expand our surgical capacity.
The qualified candidate will be Board Certified or Board eligible in ophthalmology and will have completed a Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship. The ideal candidate will be able to help shape the future of a growing retina service and have the opportunity to participate in clinical trials if desired. Experienced Vitreoretinal surgeons and new fellowship graduates are encouraged to apply.
With fidelity to independent physician-owned practice, St. Paul Eye Clinic has a strong culture of hiring the right individual and investing in their success. To that end, we offer a partnership track that includes ownership opportunities in the clinical practice, the optical shop, our affiliated ambulatory surgery centers, and real estate holdings.
The Twin Cities consistently provide physicians with an exceptional quality of life. The metro area offers a thriving arts and theater scene, all major professional sports, a strong job market anchored by numerous Fortune 500 headquarters, highly regarded schools, and an international airport with nonstop access across the country. With hundreds of lakes, an extensive park and trail system, and the scenic St. Croix River Valley minutes away, our providers enjoy a genuine four-season lifestyle and a cost of living well below that of comparable metro areas on either coast.
If you are intrigued by the opportunity to join a strong, successful, independent medical practice that knows how to balance work and life, please submit your CV to Scott Kulstad, CEO, at: skulstad@stpauleye.com. Visit https://stpauleye.com to learn more.
