CassonX are delighted to be recruiting for this recognised Hedge Fund that specialises in Quant/Systematic strategies. This fund has grown significantly since COVID, but still offering a nimble yet boutique working environment. This Long-Term Trend Following investment strategy in Futures (Exchange Traded Derivatives) has seen then produce some outstanding returns, and given opportunity to reward their investors over the last couple of years.

To be considered for this role CassonX are looking to identify someone with experience in supporting Listed Derivatives Trading, especially a Futures Operations / Middle Office / Prime Brokerage role and would like to work in a standalone Operations role working with their Clearing Broker and Fund Administrators. We anticipate the successful candidate to have achieved 7+ years exposure to supporting a variety of reconciliations and clearing related responsibilities, for a variety of Futures products like Stocks, Rates and Commodities. They would ideally like to see someone coming from another Hedge Fund, but could look at someone Investment Bank, Broker or Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) who has performed a trade lifecycle type of Operations roles, and offers strong Excel skills - note you do not need to be a programmer as they have a separate Quant team supporting their algorithms. Preference will be given to those with advanced academics, and please note they would look at Senior Analyst or Operations Manager title depending on your background, but regardless this is very much a "hands on" role.

This interesting role will see you work directly with the owner and CIO of the fund, and sits in the Front Office making sure that all Systematic trading is completed and supported. Note there are no Traders in this firm as everything is algorithmic trade execution and you will directly support that style, so this role is more about making sure all daily post-trade lifecycles are correct with their Clearing Broker and Fund Administrator. They are currently in process to change their executing firm, and they are also considering moving into Digital Assets (Crypto) as part of their strategy, so there is a good opportunity to be a part of these projects and to broaden your knowledge. It is essential to understand that the successful individual will be asked to help build a "best in class" operations function for them, where you will be given opportunity to help guide them as to what good looks like in operations, not forgetting that this is a "hands on" role.
