Group Director - Operations, Platforms & Governance (Associate Level) - FINMA Swiss Regulatory Compliance SME (Zurich based)

Martis Search are seeking an experienced and commercially minded leader to join our senior leadership team as "Group Director - Operations, Platforms & Governance" for a boutique Asset Management client.

The role is based in Zurich, Switzerland and requires someone with strong FINMA Swiss Regulatory Compliance experience. This is a standalone role, working in a small office, but collaboratively with other global offices they have.

This is a highly strategic role responsible for designing, implementing and continuously enhancing the Group's global operating platform. Working closely with the Group CEO and COO, the successful candidate will ensure that governance, regulatory infrastructure, operational processes, technology and reporting capabilities support the firm's continued international growth while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence, regulatory compliance and client service.

This position offers the opportunity to shape the operational infrastructure of a growing international investment management business with entities across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

Group Governance & Regulatory Oversight

Lead the governance framework across all Group entities, ensuring robust regulatory compliance and effective corporate governance throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading governance across multiple international jurisdictions.
2. Maintaining regulatory compliance for the FINMA-regulated Swiss entity, whilst overseeing governance across the UK, Cyprus and ADGM operations.
3. Managing regulatory obligations under FINIA, AMLA and AMLO-FINMA.
4. Maintaining and developing the Internal Control System (ICS).
5. Coordinating annual regulatory audits and ensuring ongoing audit readiness.
6. Preparing and submitting regulatory filings and notifications.
7. Supporting Board governance and corporate secretarial activities.
8. Maintaining Commercial Registry records.
9. Overseeing corporate insurance programmes.
10. Managing relationships with outsourced compliance providers.
11. Leading quarterly compliance reviews.
12. Overseeing AML, KYC and Enhanced Due Diligence governance frameworks.
13. Continuously reviewing governance structures to ensure they remain proportionate, scalable and aligned with the Group's strategic objectives.

This role requires an individual who combines exceptional operational leadership with strong regulatory knowledge, commercial judgement and the ability to build scalable infrastructure that supports long-term business growth.

Salary

Between (Swiss CHF) 130 k pa - (Swiss CHF) 140 k pa depending upon experience plus an annual discretionary bonus, pension, healthcare etc
