Job Description:

The Occupational Therapy Department at Worcester State University invites applications for a tenure-track position (9-month academic year) in an accredited, Combined Bachelor of Science in Occupational Studies/Master of Occupational Therapy Program beginning September 2027. Additional teaching may be available during the summer semesters.

This position includes teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising, research, scholarship, and ongoing involvement in Department and University committees. Interprofessional classroom experiences and research projects with other academic departments are highly encouraged.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications: 

• A research-based terminal degree or ABD is preferred;
• Certification by NBCOT;
• At least 5 years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist; and be eligible for licensure as an OTR in Massachusetts.
• Demonstration of clinical expertise and teaching with a focus on mental health and/or gerontology in various contexts.

Previous teaching experience in higher education is preferred.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time, benefited, exempt position. Salary is commensurate with experience and discipline, with a minimum established by the Appendix O of the MSCA contract. The anticipated start date for this position is September 1, 2027.
