Description
You will manage and direct an integrated team of Bankers, who are responsible for new client acquisition, client relationship management, and investment advisory, to clients in the China market. This team acquires and services clients through a broad knowledge of investments, banking, trust services and financial planning. This role is also accountable for the client experience and engaging our resources to deliver a complete wealth management solution to the clients. This is an exciting opportunity for a player-coach to lead, develop and nurture a growing team within the J.P. Morgan Private Bank.Job Responsibilities
- Support and manage all aspects of client relationships across the team; develop and maintain long-term relationships through professional/personal networks and contacts
- Articulate and deliver strategic messages to client portfolio. Update clients regularly on markets, portfolio performance, investments opportunities, risks
- Overall responsibility to lead and develop a team of Bankers, where they operate in both banker and investor capacity
- Supervise, coach, and train bankers/staffs to maximize their individual contribution to the team as required
- Monitor ongoing and team's performance against financial and other targets - AUM, Revenue, account performance etc.
- In addition to day-to-day management of the team, this role should also grow the team's book of business and will be responsible for prospecting and developing leads for new clients in the China market, through own social and/or corporate network and contacts
- Work in close partnership with other teams in proposing, delivering, and executing solutions for clients; as well as in identifying new business opportunities
- Work closely with other teams in meeting compliance, regulatory, risk management, operational, and due diligence requirements and compliance with internal policies.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- University degree holder and 10+ years of professional experience in a similar capacity
- Strong understanding of the needs and sensitivities of clients (private individuals and families)
- Strong knowledge of relevant financial markets and instruments
- Proven track record on investment sales and / or relationship management performance
- Strong presentation skills, an excellent communicator with client facing experience a definite advantage
- Able to work under minimal supervision; adaptable to work in demanding environment
- Detail-oriented and results-focused
- Strong knowledge of local regulatory policies and guidelines
- Appropriate local regulatory qualifications and licenses
