The Department of Ophthalmology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons invites applications for a full-time vitreoretinal surgeon to join the Retina Division at the Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute. This is an opportunity to join a leading academic ophthalmology program with a longstanding tradition of excellence in patient care, education, discovery, and innovation.
We seek candidates who combine clinical and surgical excellence with a strong commitment to academic medicine. The position includes participation in the clinical and academic programs of the Department, as well as teaching and mentorship of residents, fellows, and medical students. Candidates with an established record of scholarship, clinical innovation, collaborative research, or excellence in education are particularly encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will receive a full-time faculty appointment in the Department of Ophthalmology at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, with clinical privileges at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Candidates must hold or be eligible for a license to practice medicine in New York State, be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology; and have fellowship training in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery.
Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and academic accomplishments.
