Med-Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (26005380)
The Postdoctoral Associate position will conduct biomedical research to study: 1) how the body naturally inhibits chronic pain to allow for survival behaviors by engaging neural circuity that regulates neuropeptide Y receptor-expressing neurons in the parabrachial nucleus; and 2) whether the subpopulation of sensory neurons that express TRPM8 are necessary for behavioral and neural signs of neuropathic pain in mice with multiple sclerosis-like disease called EAE.
A PhD or MD degree is required.
