Description

We are recruiting a postdoctoral scholar to join the Cegelski Lab at Stanford University!

The successful candidate will pursue interdisciplinary research at the interface of microbiology, chemical biology, biochemistry, and biophysics, with a strong focus on antibacterial discovery and mechanistic studies of bacterial physiology.

Potential projects include the development and characterization of new antibacterial agents, innovative approaches to elucidate their mechanisms of action, antimicrobial susceptibility studies, microscopy, and investigations of bacterial cell-surface, cell-wall, biofilm, and extracellular biology.

We welcome applications from creative and highly motivated experimental scientists who bring strong expertise in microbiology, chemical biology, or a related area and are eager to learn complementary approaches.

The anticipated appointment start is Fall 2026 or early 2027. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
