The Department of Chemistry at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar position specializing in Chemical Biology to work in the Laboratory of Dr. Yftah Tal-Gan, Professor of Chemistry. The interdisciplinary project will focus on the utilization of chemical and biological tools to interrogate bacterial communications both within and between bacterial species. Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or closely related field.

•         Completion of a doctoral degree in the appropriate discipline is required. 
•         The doctoral degree must have been completed within the five years immediately preceding the first date of appointment as a postdoctoral fellow at the University. 
•         The individual cannot have held previous positions in the professional ranks.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with protein expression and purification, and\or molecular microbiology (RNA-Seq, gene-knockout and mutation)
