Program Support and Communications LeadLocation: Remote (Preference for candidates located in the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia region, particularly near Rockville, MD)
Travel: Occasional travel to HRSA and client sites as needed
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain required federal suitability/public trust requirements
Position Summary
PCI Professional Services is seeking a highly organized Program Support and Communications Lead to support federal health programs and modernization initiatives.
The Program Support and Communications Lead will work closely with Deputy Program Managers, the IDIQ Program Manager, government stakeholders, and project teams to ensure effective coordination, communication, reporting, and execution of contract activities. This individual will play a critical role in supporting project operations, developing customer-facing communications, managing project documentation, and facilitating stakeholder engagement activities.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, an exceptional communicator, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic consulting environment.
This position is primarily remote; however, candidates located in the Washington Metropolitan Area, particularly Maryland, are strongly preferred to support occasional onsite meetings and customer engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Program Coordination & Support
- Support Deputy Program Managers in the day-to-day execution of federal programs and task orders.
- Coordinate project schedules, activities, meetings, milestones, and deliverables.
- Track risks, issues, decisions, action items, and dependencies.
- Maintain project documentation repositories and reporting tools.
- Support development and maintenance of project plans, workstreams, and project schedules.
Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop internal and external communications materials.
- Draft executive briefings, PowerPoint presentations, reports, newsletters, talking points, meeting summaries, and status updates.
- Support stakeholder communications and engagement activities.
- Assist in developing communications strategies and implementation plans.
- Coordinate distribution of communications and project updates.
Meeting & Governance Support
- Organize and coordinate meetings, workshops, and working sessions.
- Develop agendas, presentation materials, and meeting logistics.
- Facilitate note-taking and preparation of meeting summaries.
- Maintain action-item trackers and decision logs.
- Follow up with stakeholders to ensure completion of assigned actions.
Reporting & Performance Management
- Support development of weekly, monthly, and ad hoc status reports.
- Assist with collection and analysis of project information and performance metrics.
- Develop dashboards, trackers, and visual reports.
- Monitor deliverable schedules and project deadlines.
Customer Service & Relationship Support
- Interact professionally with government clients and stakeholders.
- Support customer engagement activities and stakeholder coordination efforts.
- Assist with preparation for executive meetings and program reviews.
- Foster positive working relationships across project teams and client organizations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Public Health, Health Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Marketing, Organizational Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
- Three (3) to seven (7) years of relevant professional experience supporting federal programs, consulting engagements, communications initiatives, project management efforts, or PMO operations.
- Experience developing professional written communications and executive-facing materials.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting project meetings and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting HRSA, HHS, CMS, NIH, CDC, SAMHSA, or other federal agencies.
- Experience supporting communications, change management, PMO, or strategic initiatives.
- Experience developing executive-level presentations and briefing materials.
- Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, Smartsheet, Jira, or Microsoft Project.
- Experience supporting healthcare, public health, grants, or health services programs.
- Experience coordinating conferences, workshops, stakeholder meetings, or governance activities.
- Master's degree in Communications, Public Health (MPH), Health Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration (MPA), or a related field.

Compensation
Competitive salary commensurate with experience, education, certifications, and federal consulting experience.
