POSITION SUMMARY: This is a non-tenure track full-time Clinical Faculty Instructor position. Coordinates clinical education and provides didactic instruction in the Radiation Therapy program. Serves as a liaison between the University and clinical affiliates.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Correlates and coordinates clinical education with didactic education and evaluates its effectiveness
Participates in didactic instruction
Supports the program director to ensure effective program operations
Participates in the program accreditation and assessment processes
Maintains current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development
Maintains current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress
Ensures clinical education compliance with program policies
Maintains current clinical education site agreements
Coordinates clinical practicum placements for students.
Maintains communication with clinical education sites and clinical preceptors
Orients new clinical affiliates, preceptors, and staff to programmatic requirements
Oversees maintenance of student clinical records
Ensures student clinical clearances are accurate and up to date
Investigates and resolves complaints or refers issues to the program director
Participates in department/college/university committees, consistent with the goals of the program and sponsoring institution
Coordinates and facilitates annual clinical advisory committee meetings
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Holds, at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree (B.S.)
Is proficient in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction, and academic advising.
Documents two years of clinical experience in radiation therapy
Documents one year of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT- accredited program
Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in radiation therapy
Shall meet the criteria for the position as established by the sponsoring institution and accreditation agencies.
Shall be employed full-time as a program official, as indicated by accreditation agencies.
