Description
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage cross-functional R&D projects across multiple departments
- Take full end-to-end responsibility for project planning, execution and monitoring
- Ensure that all projects follow the defined Stage-Gate development process, including preparation, moderation, and documentation of gate reviews.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and budgets by using both classical (waterfall) and agile project management approaches.
- Select and apply the appropriate project methodology (agile, classical, or hybrid) depending on project scope, risk, and maturity.
- Coordinate project teams, define work packages, clarify roles and responsibilities, and ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Track project progress, risks, dependencies, and deliverables; proactively initiate corrective actions if required.
- Prepare and deliver regular project status updates to project team members, department managers, and senior management.
- Facilitate clear and transparent communication across all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure proper documentation of project results, decisions, and lessons learned.
- Support continuous improvement of R&D project management processes and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a comparable technical field.
- Several years of project management experience in R&D or product development, preferably in an industrial or technology-driven environment.
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional, interdisciplinary projects.
- Strong skills in project planning and control, including timelines, milestones, resources, and budgets.
- Hands-on experience with classical (waterfall) and agile project management methods; experience with hybrid approaches is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to provide clear status updates to team members and management.
- Strong organizational skills with a structured, solution-oriented working style.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, set priorities, and drive projects to completion.
- Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken).
