About the Campaign
Darden Copeland is a Democrat running for Congress in Tennessee's newly redrawn 7th Congressional District. This is a genuinely competitive race: recent polling suggests a 5-point race, and Democrats improved their margin in this district by more than 12 points in the December 2025 special election.
Position Overview
Regional Field Directors own a turf within TN-07 and are responsible for hitting its voter contact goals. This district is winnable — recent polling suggests a 5-point race — and it will be won region by region, door by door. You will recruit and manage volunteer teams, run canvasses and phone banks, and serve as the campaign's face in your counties. Multiple positions available across the district.
Responsibilities
- Own voter contact goals (doors, calls, texts) for an assigned region and report progress daily
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteer leaders and volunteer teams in your turf
- Plan and staff canvass launches, phone banks, and community events
- Cut turf and manage lists in VAN/VoteBuilder for your region
- Build relationships with local Democratic parties, community groups, and civic organizations
- Execute the GOTV plan in your region, including early vote chase and Election Day staging locations
Qualifications
- At least one cycle of organizing experience (field organizer, campus organizer, or comparable community/labor organizing)
- Working knowledge of VAN/VoteBuilder or the ability to learn it fast
- Self-starter comfortable owning a turf with limited supervision
- Strong public speaking and volunteer management skills
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within the region daily
Compensation & Details
Salary commensurate with experience. Position runs through the November 2026 general election and is based in Tennessee's 7th District (Nashville area preferred). Nights and weekends required, as is standard on a competitive campaign.
