We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Equity Research Analyst to join our research team. The successful candidate will conduct in-depth research and analysis to provide actionable investment and strategic insights.
Job Title / Designation – Research Analyst / Pharma Sector
Location – Chennai
Experience – Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the Indian pharmaceutical / healthcare sector, preferably covering formulations, CDMO, hospitals, diagnostics, or specialty pharma.
Key Responsibilities:
*Work closely with fund management team in identifying & analysing investment opportunities
*Conduct statistical analysis of economic data, fundamentals, and relevant correlations of data.
*Iterating frequently with the fund manager on financial models and investment research
*Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards and databases.
*Track Key performance indicators.
*Prepare research reports, presentations and briefs for fund management team and other stake holders
Desirable Skills:
*CA or CFA
*Strong fundamental research capability with the ability to independently analyse business models, financial statements, industry structures, management quality, and valuation frameworks.
*Prior experience in institutional equities, buy-side research, PMS/AIF, brokerage research, or consulting preferred.
*Intellectual curiosity, clear written communication, and the ability to articulate investment ideas with depth, nuance, and conviction are essential.
*Candidates who combine analytical rigour with a long-term investing mindset are encouraged to apply.
