Faculty Position – Rheumatology Clinical Director

Opportunity: The University of Pittsburgh Division of Rheumatology seeks an exceptional leader to serve as the next Clinical Director of the UPMC Arthritis Network. This is a unique opportunity to lead a nationally recognized rheumatology clinical program within one of the largest integrated academic health systems in the United States. The Clinical Chief will guide the Division’s clinical mission, working alongside an outstanding group of clinicians, educators, researchers, and operational leaders to deliver exceptional care for patients with autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The next Clinical Chief will join the Department of Medicine during a period of remarkable momentum, with substantial investments in clinical growth, faculty recruitment, innovation, and infrastructure.
Requirements
Responsibilities: Support development of innovative models of care delivery across the UPMC Healthcare System; develop strategies to improve patient access and referral relationships, enhance multidisciplinary care models for patients with complex autoimmune and inflammatory diseases; recruit, retain, and support outstanding clinical faculty; partner with administrative leadership to achieve clinical, operational, and financial goals
Preferred Experience: Demonstrated leadership experience in clinical medicine; experience leading clinical programs or service lines; ability to recruit and retain talented clinicians; commitment to multidisciplinary care
