Your new role
As an Operations Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end operational delivery supporting underwriting and policy servicing teams across Australia.You will lead a team of onshore staff while overseeing a large offshore function, ensuring high-volume workflows are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with service standards. Acting as a central escalation point, you will manage stakeholder expectations across the business and drive operational performance.
This is a highly visible role where you will:

Lead day-to-day operations in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Manage and influence both onshore and offshore teams

Drive process improvement and operational efficiencies

Partner with underwriting, shared services, and senior stakeholders

Ensure SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards are consistently met

Support audits, compliance, and business performance outcomes

You will also act as a senior leader within the function, stepping in as a deputy when required.
What you'll need to succeed

Experience leading teams in insurance

Strong exposure to high-volume, complex operational environments

Proven ability to manage and influence offshore teams

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Resilience and ability to perform under pressure

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands

A proactive mindset with a track record of identifying and delivering process improvements
