You'll join a collaborative team of 10 experienced Emergency Doctors and board-certified specialists across multiple disciplines, supported by daily rounds that promote exceptional patient care and teamwork. In your day-to-day, you will:
- Oversee medical standards and ensure patients receive consistent, high-quality care.
- Support and mentor a team of 21 veterinarians, including providing case consultation and guidance on complex or critical cases.
- Collaborate with the hospital manager and leadership team on day-to-day hospital operations.
- Monitor patient care, medical protocols, and compliance with hospital policies and veterinary standards.
- Lead or participate in medical rounds, case reviews, and team meetings.
- Research, address, and aid in resolution of client escalations, to include medical concerns, customer service, and patient care issues as needed.
- Partner with Hospital Director to identify opportunities to expand or improve medical services based on patient and community needs and contribute to long-term medical and operational strategy.
What You Bring
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
- Possesses a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, ideally in an Emergency/Specialty hospital, and a minimum of 1-2 years of leadership experience preferred.
- Values integrity, exhibits superior communication, and displays excellent client service and patient care.
- Is a collaborative leader who will match and embrace DCES's culture.
- Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
- A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing emergency and specialty veterinary medicine.
