Description
The Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will teach four courses on environment, climate, and planning, across both the department’s Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Planning and Master of Urban Planning curriculum. Additional duties include: monitoring and mentoring teaching assistants, holding office hours to meet with students outside of class time, writing and grading examinations, and assigning grades, and departmental service.
Requirements
Required: PhD in urban planning or related field. Demonstrated research experience in environment, climate, sustainability, or urban governance.
Preferred: Prior experience teaching as instructor of record or serving as a Teaching Assistant in at least two courses.
