The Srivatsan Lab (Basic Sciences Division, Fred Hutch) is looking for a Post Doctoral Research Fellow to help establish a diverse, innovative, and collaborative research team. The successful candidate must have a keen interest in developing new sequencing-based technologies to interrogate biology. The mission of the Srivatsan Lab is to develop sequencing tools to understand how biological systems are constructed and how these constraints shape subsequent evolutionary trajectories.

Responsibilities
The fellow will apply and develop state-of-the-art genomics methods to understand how organisms develop. The approaches used will blend sequencing, imaging, computation, and theory. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working collaboratively.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Ph.D. degree in genetics, genomics, biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, or a related discipline.
- At least one published first-author research paper in a peer-reviewed journal.
- A strong foundation in hypothesis-driven, basic research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Independently motivated to think, plan, conduct, analyze, and document experiments and findings.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in molecular biology and biochemistry.
- Experience with Python and/or R.
- Next generation sequencing data analysis and experimentation.
The annual base salary range for this position is from $80,172 to $95,014, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.
